At a meeting of Mid Bedfordshire Conservative Association members on 23 May 2024, Cllr Blake Stephenson was selected to be the Mid Bedfordshire Conservative Parliamentary Candidate in the upcoming General Election.
Blake has lived in the constituency for nearly a decade. He serves as a Parish Councillor, a Chair of Governors, and a Central Bedfordshire Councillor, sitting on Bedfordshire's Police and Crime Panel.
Commenting on his selection Blake said:
"It is a huge honour to have been selected to contest my home seat. I am the hard-working local politician in this campaign, fighting to improve the things that matter to people right across Mid Beds, and I look forward to meeting as many people as possible during this short six-week campaign".
